There are stupid people in every fandom, and Homestuck is just lucky enough to have more than usual. I don’t think people should avoid cosplaying Karkat in fear of getting hit with a bucket because they should be able to cosplay who they want without fear. The people who are throwing the buckets are the ones that should be escorted out of the gathering/meetup/photoshoot and even the con if that’s where this takes place. I really hope people stop and THINK before they throw objects at someone… because seriously how old are we?
What you guys are going through here is no different then what the Hetalia fandom when through. It’s the big thing right now, it has a lot of fans so you’re more likely to see bad ones. Eventually it’ll die down and something else will take its place.
TLDR; Stupid people are in every fandom.
